Nuestra propuesta busca resurgir una Catedral de los hombres para los hombres a través de su techo, que es su corona. En él, la memoria del pueblo de París y su historia, se consagra en un bosque que integra tres elementos de las artes aplicadas: la arquitectura, la pintura y la música. Ellas enaltecen la es-piritualidad sensorial de quien recorre este espacio sublime que venera su pasado glorioso y en los sím-bolos presentes, su tradición. En el centro, se erige la espiga grandiosa, que se observa desde adentro. El desarrollo de nuestro espacio interno busca ser respetuoso con la edificación y su uso. Intenta no ser invasivo, y mantiene en gran medida, la apariencia externa, que, a lo largo de 800 años, convivió con su ciudad. A través de la integración entre las distintas artes, busca exaltar los momentos más importantes de la cultura francesa: el gótico, el impresionismo y la música sacra. Es en la mezcla de esos tres ele-mentos primordiales que se basa nuestro diseño. Inspirada en la obra de Monet, construimos una pasarela recorrible a lo largo del techo, que flota sobre las bóvedas de piedra. Su curvatura sinuosa nos hará sentir que flotamos sobre agua. La pasarela se desplaza a lo largo de una arboleda estructural, cuyas tupidas “ramas” nos harán perdernos en la sensa-ción de que estamos en un bosque mágico donde los haces de luz, como en el arte impresionista, re-presentan color y tiempo. La matriz de estos haces de luz, son perforaciones distribuidas en el techo propuesto por nosotros, inspirados en la partitura de Pérotin. Ellas nos filtran la luz de Sol, creando ese espacio mágico. En el centro, en el cruce de la nave y el transepto, generamos una plataforma que es la Corona de Espi-nas, que representa el sacrificio de Cristo. Allí, en el centro, una apertura de luz, que nos invita a llevar-nos al cielo a través de dos escaleras en espiral que se entre-cruzan, en un recorrido guiado por los apóstoles, quienes estarán colocados, de un lado y otro de las escaleras, para inspirar este trayecto hacia Dios. La suma de los escalones representa la cantidad de años que Notre Dame se tardo en ser cons-truida. La cumbrera del techo estará rematada con la intercalación de la Flor de Lis y la Fasces, que simbolizan el recorrer entre la Monarquía y la República. Como si de un Vía Crucis se tratara, doce monitores nos narrarán la historia de París a través de Notre Dame. Serán pequeños resúmenes de los momentos cruciales de su memoria que nos motivan a seguir investigando. Para cumplir con los tiempos, nuestra construcción será modular y seriada, elaborada en tierra y ensam-blada sobre su bóveda en bloques, para mayor rapidez. Nuestra intención, en relación a la simbología , es representar el momento mas sublime de la elevación del alma humana hacia su encuentro con Dios

The development of our internal space seeks to be respectful to the building and its use. It tries not to be invasive and preserves, to a large extent, the outward appearance which has coexisted with its city for 800 years. �Through the integration between the different arts, it seeks to exalt the most important moments of French culture: Gothic, Impressionism and sacred music. The mixture of those three primordial elements i�s the root of our design.

Inspired by Monet's work, we will build a walkway along the roof, floating above the stone vaults. Its sinuous curvature will make us feel like we are floating on water. The walkway moves along a structural grove, whose dense "branches" will get us lost in the feeling of being in a magical forest where the beams of light, just as in impressionist art, represent color and time. Inspired by P�rotin?s score for ALLELUIA, the holes interspersed throughout the roof and ceiling shape the matrix of these beams of light. They filter the sunlight for us, creating that magical space.

The original ledges will be transformed into balconies allowing visitors access to the view of Paris, and as in a Via Crucis, twelve monitors will tell us the history of Paris through Notre Dame.

In the center, at the junction of the nave and the transept, we generate a platform which is the Crown of Thorns, representing the sacrifice of Christ. There, in the center, an opening of light ?invites? us on a spiritual pathway to heaven. Two spiral staircases, each of 91 steps, cross each other led by the Apostles, that line each side of the stairs to inspire this journey towards God. The sum of the steps represents 182 years it took to build Notre Dame.

The roof will be a replica of the original one using the appropriate materials to preserve the building?s integrity.

The ridge will be finished with the intercalation of the Fleur de Lis and the Fasces, which symbolize the path between the Monarchy and the Republic.

Our intention, regarding the symbolism, is to represent the most sublime moment of the human soul?s elevation towards its encounter with God.
